Richard Del Monte began as a financial advisor after getting his MBA in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University. After regretfully handing over the life savings of one of his long-term clients to that client’s heirs–who promptly gave it all to a scam artist and lost it–Richard set out to help insure that terrible fate never happened to another client on his watch. He became a Certified Wealth Consultant and later became a faculty member for the Institute for Preparing Heirs. He is also a founding member of the Council for Shared Leadership, an organization dedicated to the success and flourishing of affluent families over multiple generations.
He is now one of the most trusted names on the subject of managing your estate, conflict resolution, preparing heirs. He has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Private Wealth Magazine, Trust & Estates, Private Opportunities Club, Family Wealth Report, and has also appeared frequently on FOX Business News. He also gave a TEDx talk entitled, “A Place of Possibility for Families and Wealth,” and has also spoken at many other events. Richard currently lives in California with his wife and family.
